My interview series continues with interview #3 as I explore healthy, positive, and progressive workplaces and what contributes to engagement, satisfaction, and well-being at work from the point of view of work environment, organizational culture, and leadership.
This instalment is a short conversation with Peter Rozeluk, Executive Director of Mission Services in London Ontario. We talked about increasing awareness of “living wage” policies and the decision made this year by Mission Services to pay all staff a living wage. Peter shared why this policy move is important to Mission Services and the impact it’s had for staff and for the organization as a whole. It’s a good example of values-based leadership where an employer puts organizational values into practice and pays attention to its community of workers.
